Feeling

Walter said he is feeling pretty good. He sounded relaxed and content.

Plans

He is going to a memorial service for a friend and out to dinner tonight, then for a walk tomorrow. He has a busy week of medical appointments.

Health

His dentist saved the tooth, so he did not need a root canal. He did a little physical therapy today and has no new pain or swelling. The redness on his toe is fading; he thinks it was a rash.

Overall

Walter is in good spirits and staying social. Nothing new to watch, and his health matches his earlier check-ins.

The documents

Every letter, bill, and notice, read and filed for you.

Snap a photo or upload a PDF. VIPCall names it, sorts it, and pulls out what matters: how much, by when, and who to call.

Find any page in seconds. Search a word, and VIPCall opens the page it’s on.

A pile of paperwork. One letter from Northfield Life is uploaded and read, and VIPCall shows its summary: The claim was approved. The policy pays $180 a day for home care, starting November 1, 2026.The document is then filed with the family’s other documents, each labeled by type.

What it remembers

Each call picks up where the last one left off.

February 26

“I fell down 10 steps last night. Rather messed up my body.”

February 27, the next call

“Given the fall you had yesterday, are you experiencing any new pain or swelling today?”

March 2: the call asks how recovery is going.

How it works

Five minutes to set up. The calls start tomorrow.

  1. Set the calls and calendar.

Choose three parent questions, set caregiver calls, and add appointments and care to-dos.

  2. VIPCall collects the updates.

Parent and caregiver calls stay separate. If someone does not answer, VIPCall leaves a message and retries.

  3. Everyone stays caught up.

Summaries, recordings, appointments, and to-dos stay together in one shared record.

The families

What families tell us after a month.

“My mom likes the calls. She's surprised the AI knows about her cat and activities — the personalization really works.”

PamelaDaughter

“I felt like this was a person who heard me. I like knowing it's AI and I'm not being tricked.”

The questions

Questions you're already asking.

"My parent won't do it, they're not into technology."

There's no technology for them. It's just a phone call, at the same time each day. They answer like they would any other call. You set everything up on your side in about 5 minutes.

"We already call them regularly."

Most families do. VIPCall doesn't replace that. It changes what those calls are about. Instead of "are you okay," you can have a real conversation, because you already know how they're doing, and your calls spend less time reconstructing the basics.

"Is this surveillance?"

Your parent knows the call is happening and why. They choose to answer. Many older adults say they appreciate having someone ask about their day, without the pressure of a worried child on the other end.

"What if they miss the call?"

VIPCall retries automatically and can leave a voicemail letting them know it will call back. If there's still no answer, you get an alert. And if your parent wants to complete the check-in on their own time, they can call Sarah back any time. Sarah picks up like any other call.

"Is this just a medical alert device?"

No. Those activate only when something goes wrong. VIPCall calls every day, whether anything is wrong or not. A picked-up call is one signal. The summary gives you more context than "she answered."

"My siblings don't understand how much I'm doing."

Everyone gets the same daily update, so the picture isn't trapped in one person's texts and memory. It won't fix family dynamics, but it gives everyone a shared record of what's actually happening.

More questions (24)
Can I use this if my parent won't take calls?

Yes. Caregiver check-ins, shifts, to-dos, and the calendar all work without them. Add the calls whenever they're ready.

"Can this help us decide if Mom needs more care?"

It can help. Over time you can see the patterns: sleep, mood, pain, confusion, missed calls, appetite, repeated worries. The family has real context before a decision becomes urgent.

"Can I share the updates with a caregiver or neighbor?"

Yes. You choose who receives the summaries, so the people actually helping are working from the same information instead of second-hand relay.

How much does this cost?

14-day free trial. Then $49 a month for one person, or $99 for two people with caregivers, appointments and the shared calendar. Cancel anytime.

How hard is setup?

5 minutes. Add your parent's info, choose call times, set questions. Then it runs automatically.

What phones work?

Any phone: landline, flip phone, or smartphone. No apps or downloads needed.

Can I schedule multiple calls per day?

Yes. Morning and evening, or any combination. Different questions for different times of day.

Can they stop the calls?

Yes. They can decline any call. After 3 declined in a row, we pause and notify you.

What's the AI's name?

Sarah. Warm, natural, non-judgmental. Keeps a history of every check-in.

Can I use this for more than one person?

Yes. Many families check in on multiple VIPs: a parent, an in-law, a grandparent. Each has their own schedule.

What if my parent is in a facility?

VIPCall works anywhere there's a phone, so you get a direct check-in alongside the facility's updates.

"Can a caregiver use this too?"

Yes. Add a caregiver to your plan, and they can call in (or get a quick call) to leave their own update after a shift. It lands on the same shared timeline, so the whole family sees it. You stay in control of who sees what.

"What if my parent has dementia and can't really do the call?"

Then the caregivers become the check-in. When your parent can hold a conversation, the daily call centers on them and how they're doing in their own voice. When they can't, caregivers keep the same shared record updated instead, so the picture stays current either way.

"Can it keep track of our caregiver's schedule?"

Yes. Shifts live on the calendar, caregivers can request changes from their phone, and you approve them in a tap. The check-in call that follows a shift moves when the shift moves.

How do appointments get in?

Add them in the app, or text the appointment (typed out or a screenshot) to the same number that calls your parent. You'll get a confirmation text before anything lands on the calendar.

Who can see what?

You decide, person by person. A sibling can see everything, a cousin just the daily updates. Medical details stay with the people you choose.

How is our family's information protected?

Your family's information is encrypted at rest and in transit, with 256-bit AES encryption for everything stored and TLS for every connection. Only people on your family's account can play its call recordings, and each person sees only what you allow. Every upload is checked and cleaned for threats before it is stored. Your family's conversations are never sold or used to train outside AI, and you can export your family's data whenever you want.

How does a caregiver change a shift?

She requests the change from her phone. You get it as a card showing the old time and the new one, with her reason. Approve it in one tap and the calendar updates, along with the check-in call that follows that shift.

Can I edit a shift myself?

Yes. You can change any shift directly, which matters when a caregiver isn't set up to log in. Her requests come to you for approval; your own edits just save.

What if it's a one-off, like running late or missing a Saturday?

That's handled as a change to that one day. The recurring pattern stays as it is, so a single swap never rewrites the whole schedule.

Can I see who changed what?

Yes. Every change is logged with who made it and when, so the family has one history to look back on instead of a text thread.

What is the record?

One timeline holding every call, caregiver visit, appointment, and care to-do, along with her care team. You can look back at any day, and every call has audio you can play.

What are insights?

The patterns that only appear over time: sleep, mood, appetite, pain, and how steady she's been. One call is a moment; hundreds become a trend you can prepare for.

Can I text or email an appointment instead of typing it in?

Yes. Text the appointment to the same number that calls your parent, typed out or as a screenshot of the letter, or forward the confirmation email. You get a confirmation text back before anything lands on the calendar.

Private and secure by design.

  • Encrypted at rest and in transit256-bit AES encryption for everything stored, and TLS for every connection.
  • Recordings locked to your familyOnly people on your family’s account can play a call, and every play is verified.
